Jatinder Bir Singh

Jatinder Bir Singh is the current Principal at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce. Previously, they worked as a Senior Consultant at the NCDEX Institute of Commodity Market and Research from July 2007 to June 2008. There, they helped in organizing research and workshops and participated in studies conducted by NICR. From January 2007 to January 2009, they worked on a major research project funded by UGC called "Commodity Futures Markets in India- An Investigation into Institutional, Structural and Operational Aspects". In February 2005 to March 2006, they were a Technical Consultant for a survey called "Indian Agricultural Marketing study- Value Chain Survey" which was conducted by the World Bank. The survey was conducted to understand constraints to value addition in production, distribution, and processing of agricultural produce across four states in India. Jatinder Bir Singh has also worked on other projects such as the Agribusiness Development Project for India with the Asian Development Bank and the Agricultural Marketing and Value Chain in India with the UGC.

Jatinder Bir Singh has a PH.D in Agricultural Futures Markets from the University of Delhi, South Campus. Jatinder also has an M.A. (Hons) in Economics from Punjab University, and a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from Punjab University.
