Anna Braun

Anna Braun is a Research Scientist III at SRI International since March 2023, specializing in materials science with extensive research experience. Previous roles include PhD Candidate at Colorado School of Mines from August 2019 to March 2023, where studies focused on controlled spalling fracture in GaAs and hydride vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE) growth on rough surfaces. Anna's earlier internships at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory involved investigating light-scattering structures in GaAs solar cells and optimizing growth conditions for III-V solar cells. Anna holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, alongside a high school diploma from the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science.
