David M. Johnson

David M. Johnson is the Associate Director of the Mechanical and Fluid Systems Group at SRI International since May 2023, where leadership of research projects in a newly formed group is paramount. Previously, from October 2010 to May 2023, David served as Area Manager and Senior Technical Associate at PARC, a Xerox Company, focusing on managing research staff and driving project delivery in the Mechanical and Fluid Systems Group and Hardware Research and Technology Laboratory. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Development Engineer at Rainin Instruments, overseeing product design for fluidic systems, and Design Engineer at Pentair Water, specializing in water pump design. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, earned in 2003.
