Krystal Thomas

Krystal Thomas, PhD, is a Senior Education Researcher at SRI International, a position held since June 2020. Previously, Krystal served as an IES Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Virginia from July 2019 to June 2020 and completed a Doctoral Candidate role at Virginia Commonwealth University from August 2015 to May 2019. Early career experiences include roles as a Lab Coordinator at VCU Developmental Lab and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at VSU Developmental Lab. Krystal's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology and a Master of Science in Developmental and Child Psychology, both from Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia State University. Research expertise involves recruitment and implementation of cognitive interventions and administering cognitive assessments across various educational levels.
