Michael Hawks

Michael Hawks has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity, systems engineering, and network administration. Michael started their career at Carroll College as a Network & Systems Administrator in 1996 and later moved on to Helena School District No 1, where they held a similar role. In 2007, they joined Information Technology Core as a Senior Network & Systems Engineer. In 2008, they joined SRI International as a System Engineer and later took on roles such as Project Team Lead, Principal System Engineer, and Systems Engineering Team Manager. Most recently, they have been working as a Senior Cybersecurity Lead at SRI International, where they have been responsible for managing the Security Operations Center and various cybersecurity projects. Michael has also been involved in maintaining security awareness training programs and reports on security posture.

Michael Hawks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Security from Western Governors University in 2013. Michael then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the same university, completing it in 2017. In addition to their degrees, they obtained various certifications such as CCNA Security, CISSP, LPIC-1, Linux+, MCTS: Windows 7, Configuration, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Project+, Security+, CCNA, and A+ from institutions like Cisco, ISC2, LPI, CompTIA, and Microsoft between 2010 and 2013.
