Umal Irandika Liyanage is an experienced cricket coach and talent development professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Western Province Talent Coach and Talent Search Scout for Sri Lanka Cricket since October 2020, Umal has previously held significant coaching roles, including coaching the South Korea National Women's Cricket Team from April 2017 to March 2019, and coaching the Sri Lanka Women's National Team as well as district and provincial teams from September 2010 to April 2017. Umal's educational background includes Cricket Coaches Australia, where Level 2 and Level 3 coaching degrees were attained, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Sports Management from the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka. Umal's foundational education was completed at St. Aloysius College in Galle.
