Vansa Yatawara has been working at Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing since June 2016 as a Confidential Secretary to the President, Council, and Executive Committee. Prior to that, Vansa worked at Ewis Peripherals (Pvt) Limited in Colombo, Sri Lanka from June 2010 to June 2016 as a PA to the Director. Vansa completed education at Hillwood College in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Since 1970, SLIM has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka. Subsequently incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1980, SLIM is a member of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and of ESOMAR, the Federation of Marketing Research Industries. We are also a member of the Asia Marketing Federation, which is affiliated to the World Marketing Association. Vision To lead the nation’s efforts towards economic prosperity. Mission To establish marketing as the driving force, which enhances business and national value. Objectives - To contribute within the area of our professional competence, to the economic growth of the country - To foster the development, growth and wider acceptance of marketing as a key management function - To provide a professional forum for its membership - To advise and assist on the formation, implementation and appraisal of national policies on any matters connected withmarketing, both in Sri Lanka and abroad - To suggest and promote legislative action in the sphere of marketing to serve the best interests of the country - To promote, maintain and uphold professional and ethical principles and standards in the practice of marketing in Sri Lanka
