Chamikara Balasooriya

Chamikara Balasooriya is currently serving as a Digital Transformation Engineer at SriLankan Airlines Official since January 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a Product Design Engineer at MAS Holdings, where expertise in ERP reporting and configuration was developed alongside programming in JavaScript and experience with knitting machine programming. Chamikara also worked as an Industrial Trainee at Avanka IT services, gaining experience in frontend and backend integration, bug fixing, and feature enhancements. Earlier roles include a Trainee in the development department at MAS Kreeda Intimo, focusing on knitting technology and application development, and a Visiting Researcher at MAS Intimates, where knowledge of the textile apparel sector was acquired. Educational credentials include a Diploma in Computer Software Engineering from IJSE and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Hons) in Technical Textiles from the University of Moratuwa. Additionally, Chamikara is studying at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies, focusing on the German language and cultural behavior.
