Luis Anibal Yalan Novoa

Luis Anibal Yalan Novoa is a Mining Engineer and Geomechanical Consultant at SRK Consulting since July 2023, specializing in mining operations and project leadership. Additionally, Luis serves as an Assistant Professor in Rock Mechanics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Previously, Luis worked at Freeport-McMoRan as a Mining Engineer focused on drilling and blasting for Cerro Verde Operations from December 2019 to August 2023, and held the position of Geotechnical Engineer at Hudbay Minerals Inc. for a brief period in late 2019. Prior to that, Luis gained extensive experience as a Geotechnical Engineer at SRK Consulting from January 2017 to October 2019. Luis holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
