Ilse Aben

Ilse Aben is a senior scientist at SRON Space Research Organisation Netherlands, where they have focused on satellite remote sensing and the study of long-lived greenhouse gases such as methane and carbon dioxide since 1994. They served as co-Principal Investigator for the TROPOMI project. Ilse briefly held a special appointment as a professor in both the Earth Science Department and the Physics and Astronomy Department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2021. Their research interests include measuring and understanding anthropogenic and natural emissions.
