Alan Marrs

Alan Marrs is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data science and engineering across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at SRT Marine Systems plc and formerly Chief Engineer at Rowden Technologies, Alan has held significant roles such as Head of Engineering for ISR & Space Solutions at Collins Aerospace and Head of Product Development at UTC Aerospace Systems. Alan's expertise encompasses computer vision, machine learning, ISR system design, and engineering process improvement, alongside a strong foundation in product management and strategic development. Alan's career includes pivotal contributions as Systems & Software Architect at QinetiQ and Technical Manager at Goodrich Airborne Systems, with notable achievements in research and development initiated during time at DERA. Alan holds a PhD in Physics from The University of Manchester and a BSc in Physics from Queen's University Belfast.
