Fiona McAuliffe is a lecturer in Ecology and Environmental Management at SRUC, beginning in February 2024. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on the investigation of lamb loss causes on Highland farms, and roles such as exam invigilator at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and tutor at the School of GeoSciences. Prior to their academic career, Fiona worked as an ecologist for Southern Scientific Services Ltd, conducting species and habitat surveys, and completed a Master's degree in Ecological Management and Conservation Biology at Queen's University Belfast. Fiona has also been involved in field ecology projects, including invasive species control and biodiversity assessments, and possesses a degree in Zoology from University College Cork.
