Ozgur Aslan currently serves as an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the University of Bristol since April 2025 and is the Founder & Director of CENT: Computational Engineering Technologies, a position held since March 2014. Previous roles include Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford (September 2024 - August 2025) and Professor and Director of the Computational Science and Engineering Laboratory at Atilim University (November 2022 - April 2025). Ozgur held various academic positions at Atilim University from July 2013 to February 2022, including Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Facilities. Aslan began a research career as a Research Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory (January 2012 - June 2013) and was a Postdoctoral Scholar at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (August 2010 - January 2012) and Mines Paris - PSL (October 2006 - August 2010). An academic foundation in Computational Mechanics was developed through a Ph.D. from Mines Paris - PSL, along with a Master's degree from the University of Stuttgart and undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and Physics at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi.
