Jacob Sandberg

Jacob Sandberg is an accomplished leader in the steel and materials industry, currently serving as VP & CTO of SSAB Special Steels since December 2015. Sandberg previously held various roles at SSAB, including VP Production & Product Development and Site Manager at SSAB Oxelösund. Prior to joining SSAB, Sandberg served as a Senior Advisor at Efeso Consulting and held multiple executive positions at Outokumpu, leading initiatives in special coil production, thin strip product responsibility, and lean management through the "OK>1" program. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Elkem AS, where responsibilities spanned from R&D to technology director positions in different divisions. Sandberg's educational background includes advanced degrees in Materials Science and a certification as a Board Director from the Swedish Academy of Board Directors.
