Jarmo Valtokari

Jarmo Valtokari currently serves as a Member of the Board at PSK Standardisointi since January 2024 and has been the Maintenance Director at SSAB since February 2016, overseeing a maintenance organization of approximately 750 employees. Valtokari's extensive experience includes various leadership roles at SSAB, focusing on maintenance development, quality management, and strategic improvement of maintenance processes and data analytics. Previous positions held at SSAB include Manager of Maintenance Development and Material Services and Head of Maintenance Planning and Development. Additional experience includes managerial roles at Ruukki Metals Oy and a foundational position as a research assistant at the University of Oulu, where Valtokari earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certified as a European Expert in Maintenance Management, Valtokari specializes in reliability, asset management, and continuous improvement methodologies within the maintenance sector.
