Myrissa Welch

Myrissa Welch (Maxfield) is an experienced professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as a Steel Applications Engineer at SSAB since June 2015, after previously holding the position of Mill Metallurgist. Myrissa collaborates with the technical services team to ensure steel quality at a plate steel mill, managing production processes and quality metrics. Prior experience includes a Research and Development/Quality Assurance Intern role at SSAB and a Materials Science and Engineering Intern position at RTI International Metals. Myrissa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA in Organizational Leadership from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
