Dan Pearson has extensive work experience in the renewable energy sector. Dan currently serves as the Director of Business Development at SSE Renewables. Prior to this, they worked at ERM: Environmental Resources Management as a Partner, where they led the EMEA team and successfully grew the region's resources and revenue. Dan was also the Director & Chief Strategy Officer at The Renewables Consulting Group and held the position of Director and MD EMEA, focusing on project development and transaction services in the renewable energy field.

Before joining ERM and RCG, Dan Pearson was the Chief Executive Officer of MeyGen, where they played a significant role in the development of the tidal stream project at the Inner Sound. Dan also worked at Atlantis Resources Corporation as a Projects Director, leading a project development team and overseeing the establishment of MeyGen Ltd.

Dan Pearson's earlier experience includes positions at GE Capital, where they served as an Associate Director in the Energy Financial Services group, specializing in renewable energy asset underwriting and portfolio management. Dan also worked at GE Energy as a Commercial Leader for Offshore Wind in Europe and as a Project Development Manager, involved in onshore and offshore wind energy projects.

Furthermore, Dan Pearson began their career as a Wind Energy Project Development Manager at Enron Europe Ltd, focusing on European wind energy project development and working with Tacke Wind Energi (gmbh) and Zond.

Before their professional career, Dan Pearson gained valuable experience as an intern at The Crown Estate, where they were involved in offshore dredging license monitoring, offshore wind license creation, and seabed lease activities.

Prior to that, they completed their A-Levels in Geography, Psychology, and Design & Technology at The Minster School Sixth Form from 1992 to 1994. Their education also includes a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, completed in 1999. Additionally, they achieved eight GCSEs, including English and Mathematics, at The Minster School from 1987 to 1992.
