Ricky Saez has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Ricky currently works as the Programme Director for the Eastern Green Link Portfolio at SSEN Transmission, where they are responsible for the organisational setup, risk reporting, safety management systems, and finance and project management office functions. Prior to this, Ricky served as the Project Director for the Eastern Green Link 2 project, leading successful consenting and planning processes, developing project assessments, and managing multi-billion pound contracts.
Before joining SSEN Transmission, Ricky worked at ScottishPower as the Offshore Substations Project Manager for the East Anglia Hub, overseeing the tendering, negotiation, and management of multi-million, multi-contract projects. Ricky also held leadership roles at Chevron, BP, Doosan Babcock, Wood Group, Honeywell Process Solutions, and Sword Group, where they gained experience in automation and instrumentation, project engineering management, engineering delivery, control and instrumentation, and consultancy.
Ricky's extensive background includes responsibilities such as defining delivery strategies and plans, ensuring quality and HSE performance, managing resources, and implementing procedures and best practices. Ricky has a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Ricky Saez earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian from 1997 to 2001. In 2011, they obtained the certification of TüV Functional Safety Engineer from TüV Rheinland AG. In 2012, they became a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
