Cathie Nicholson

Cathie Nicholson is an experienced professional currently serving as PA to the General Counsel & Company Secretary at SSP Group plc since November 2022. Since November 2021, Cathie has also been a Management PA at Watson Farley & Williams, providing support to directors across key business areas. Previously, Cathie worked at Herbert Smith Freehills from March 2004 to February 2020 as a Legal/Personal Assistant, Mental Health Advocate, and Mentor, supporting a Senior Partner and Global Board Member. A noteworthy experience includes a six-week secondment with Jawun Indigenous Corporate Partnerships in February 2019, where Cathie mentored indigenous staff at Waringarri Aboriginal Art. Early career experience includes serving as a Personal Assistant to the Head Partner of Property & Supply Chain at EY from April 1997 to October 1999. Cathie has advanced studies in grief and loss counselling as well as abuse counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.
