Julie Bettinger is the Director at SSPI. Julie has over 15 years of experience in the satellite communication industry, having worked their way up from VP Corporate Marketing to VP of Marketing at ST Engineering iDirect. iDirect is a satellite communication technology provider that was founded in 1994 and today is the market leader in IP based VSAT equipment with 32% market share. iDirect delivers VSAT solutions to over 400 customers in 120 countries including the largest satellite operators and telecommunications providers worldwide.
Julie was recruited to develop a marketing strategy and team that could take iDirect into its next phase of growth. Julie was responsible for overall company and product positioning, branding and communications to ensure the company message is effectively and consistently conveyed across multiple communication mediums to multiple stakeholders and audiences. Julie launched new branding and repositioning initiative to reposition iDirect for broader market penetration, including revamping visual identity, messaging, and all sales/marketing material. Julie introduced the new brand and positioning globally to employees, sales, channel partners, media/analysts, and end-users. Julie also positioned and launched a series of products and solutions from conception to broad market acceptance.
In addition, Julie established a comprehensive social media and blog strategy as a key element of overall communications strategy to provide industry thought leadership and to generate end user demand for our global partner network. Julie initiated multifaceted awareness campaigns with analysts and press for third party message validation and credibility. Julie also worked with executive spokespeople to position iDirect as the technology leader via thought leadership, media relations, executive speeches, and networking and customer events.
Finally, Julie oversaw development of new website and partner portal, designed to maximize the user experience and engage users through multimedia and interactive tools. Julie also developed an integrated online lead generation program that increased the number of leads YOY by 115% and introduced an automated lead nurturing program to prequalified leads for sales.
