Cengiz Demirci

Cengiz Demirci has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Cengiz currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Operations at SSR Mining Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Vice President Exploration at SSR Mining Inc. from September 2020 to November 2022. From 2017 to 2020, they held the position of Vice President at Alacer Gold Corp. Before that, they worked as the General Manager at Asia Minor Mining from June 2010 to February 2017. Cengiz also worked as an Ass. Prof. Dr. at Mugla University & SRK Consultancy from 2009 to 2010. Cengiz began their career at Rio Tinto in 1990 and held the position of General Manager/Principal Scientist until November 2009.

Cengiz Demirci holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Structural Geology from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they also completed a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from the same university from 1990 to 1994.
