Robert James Lowe is a seasoned professional in the maritime industry with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Projects and Time Charter Desk at SSY - Simpson Spence Young since 2013, Robert has significantly contributed to the company's growth in both tanker projects and chartering. In addition to this role, Robert is a director on the boards of the London Tanker Brokers' Panel Ltd and the Worldscale Association, where responsibilities include strategic decision-making and monitoring industry standards. Previously, Robert established a successful Indian joint venture at Galbraiths and led operations for Clarksons Platou's Indian subsidiary, achieving profitability within the first year. Early career achievements include being recognized for excellence in tanker chartering and a foundational role in freight forwarding. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from London Metropolitan University.
