Julia Luvai

Julia Luvai has extensive work experience at St Andrew's School, Turi. Since 2015, they have held multiple roles at the school including Assistant Head and Director of Music/ Boarding House Parent/KS3 Mathematics Teacher. As Director of Music, Julia is responsible for developing and delivering the Music National Curriculum for the Prep School and leading the peripatetic and musical co-curricular provision. Julia also has a strong passion for leading Spiritual Worship. Prior to their current positions, Julia also served as the Director of Music at St Andrew's School.

Julia Luvai has a strong educational background, with diverse areas of study and a focus on leadership and education. Julia started their education journey in 2007 at the University of Nairobi, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Julia successfully completed their degree in 2012.

Seeking further knowledge and expertise in the field of education, Julia attended the University of Nottingham from 2015 to 2016. During their time there, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (International), enhancing their skills and understanding of education practices.

In 2017, Julia enrolled in the Department of Education's National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership program. This one-year program allowed their to develop outstanding leadership and partnership skills within the education sector.

With a combination of technical expertise in engineering and a strong foundation in education and leadership, Julia Luvai is well-equipped to make significant contributions to both fields.
