Mary Ellen Williams

Mary Ellen Williams is the current Director of Finance at ST ANDREWS SCHOOLS. Prior to their current position, they served as the Executive Director at the Foothills Art Center from November 2013 to November 2015.

During their time at the Foothills Art Center, Mary Ellen was responsible for marketing and communications, as well as managing facilities contractors, employees for exhibitions, education, retail, volunteers, visitor services, and accounting. Under their leadership, the Foothills Art Center saw an 8% increase in membership over two years and successfully applied for a state historical preservation grant. Additionally, they were responsible for producing monthly financial statements with a dashboard, key performance indicators, and variance report.

Mary Ellen has a proven track record of improving cash flow, operating efficiency and financial accountability. Mary has also demonstrated their ability to produce zero-based budgets and narratives. Her experience leading board committees for finance, investment, fundraising, facilities, and exhibitions makes their uniquely qualified for their current role as Director of Finance at ST ANDREWS SCHOOLS.

Mary Ellen Williams has a MBA in Business Management from Simmons University, a Certificate in Accounting from Northeastern University, and a BA in Studio Art from Smith College.

They are on a team with Jennifer Burke - Director, Institutional Advancement & Alumnae Relations, Peng Ratchaworapong - Director, Technology, and Stephanie Jones - Director, Enrollment Management. Mary Ellen Williams reports to Ruth R. Fletcher, President & Head of School.
