Jana Block is a predoctoral fellow with extensive experience in molecular medicine and cancer research. At St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung, from August 2019 to February 2024, Jana focused on identifying germline loss-of-function mutations in DOCK11 related to an immune dysregulation disorder. This work was similarly pursued at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases from September 2017 to June 2023. Jana's academic background includes a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of Freiburg, with research spanning various laboratories, including a master's thesis on glucocorticoid-regulated kinase in Caenorhabditis elegans and a bachelor’s thesis involving HIV gene therapy.
