Reinhard Orense has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2001, they started their career at H&M Hennes & Mauritz Logistik AB & Co.KG, where they worked in the procurement of textiles and goods until 2004. Reinhard then transitioned into the NPO/NGO sector and became a Consultant/Referent for Fundraising Strategy, Social Business, and Communication in 2004. In 2007, they worked at MMP Austria as a Fundraising, Event Management, and Project Coordinator. From 2008 to 2019, Reinhard served as the Marketing Communications Manager at Dachverband TFP. In 2019, they joined St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung (Children's Cancer Research Institute - CCRI) as an Executive Fundraising Manager and Deputy Head of Fundraising. Reinhard's work experience also includes being a Guest Lecturer for Social Business and Fundraising at FH Burgenland, a Business Mentor at Guidance Mentoring, and a 360° Fundraising & Social Business Expert at npoAustria an der WU Wien, starting in 2023.
Reinhard Orense's education history begins in 2000 when they attended IBC International Business College, where they studied Marketing and International Business until 2004. In 2006, they enrolled at Fundraising College Vienna, focusing on Controlling in NPO's & NGO's, Resource Management, Directmarketing, Directmailing, CRM, and CSR. Moving on, they attended Hochschule Mittweida from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business, Management, Marketing & Related Support Services. From 2011 to 2013, Reinhard pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Business Relations at FH Burgenland. Finally, in 2015 to 2016, they attended Group Austria, studying "Beratung & Coaching" to earn a Fachtrainer/In Business certification.

The St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (St Anna CCRI), located in the center of Vienna, the world's most livable city and one of Europe's most important places for biomedical research and life sciences, is an internationally renowned multidisciplinary research institution with the aim to develop and optimize diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic strategies for the treatment of children and adolescents with cancer. To achieve this goal we combine basic research with translational and clinical research and focus on the specific characteristics of childhood tumor diseases in order to provide young patients with the best possible and most innovative therapies. Dedicated research groups in the fields of tumor genomics and epigenomics, immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics and clinical research are working together to harmonize scientific findings with the clinical needs of physicians to ultimately improve the wellbeing of our patients. Through close cooperation between clinic and research, the CCRI provides an ideal environment for cutting-edge research and its translation into clinical practice. To achieve our ultimate goal of advancing the well-being of patients, the CCRI constantly pushes scientific boundaries and strongly promotes close collaboration and exchange with external institutions like the Medical University of Vienna, CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (IMBA) and the Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP).
