Tim Roberts has extensive experience in the field of information technology, spanning over two decades. Tim began their career as a CAD Technician at NIE Powerteam in 2001 before transitioning to a Helpdesk role at SUNY - Columbia Greene Community College in 2002. From there, Tim gained experience as a Windows LAN Administrator and PC Specialist at FairPoint Communications in 2004. Tim later joined LexisNexis as a TQA 2nd Level Support Technician and then moved on to First Albany Capital as a Helpdesk Analyst. In 2006, Tim joined Broadpoint Capital Inc. as a Senior Helpdesk Analyst, providing multi-level end user support for the corporation. Tim then worked as an IT Associate at Stiefel Laboratories for a brief period before joining Inergex as a Desktop Support Analyst and later as a Systems Administrator I. Tim's next career move was to Miller Environmental Group, Inc., where they started as an IT Network Coordinator and eventually became the Director Of Information Technology. Currently, they hold the position of Assistant IT Director at St. Anne Institute, and starting in 2023, they will assume the role of Director of IT. Throughout their career, Tim has consistently demonstrated their skills in managing diverse IT environments, providing technical support, and implementing innovative solutions.
Tim Roberts has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and networking. Tim obtained a Cisco Meraki Network Operator certification from Cisco Networking Academy in 2017. Prior to that, they attended New Horizons from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an MCP A+ Net+ degree focused on Windows and CompTIA. Tim also attended the State University of New York - System from 2002 to 2004, where they earned an AAS degree in Computer Info. Systems with a specialization in networking. In 1998, they completed a HND degree in Computer Science from NDAIFHE Bangor. Prior to that, they studied Aeronautical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast from 1996 to 1998. Tim'seducational journey began at Methody from 1994 to 1996, where they earned an A Level degree in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Currently, Tim is pursuing the ECMS2 certification from Cisco Networking Academy, starting in 2021. In addition to their formal education, Tim has obtained several certifications, including MCP Windows XP Professional from Microsoft in 2008, CompTIA Network+ in 2007, CompTIA A+ in 2006, and CMNO/ECMS1 from Cisco Meraki.
