Diana B. Dysart

Board Member, District 7 at St. Bernard Parish Public Schools

Diana Barcelona Dysart represents District 7 and has served on the School Board since January 1983. Mrs. Dysart currently serves as Vice President of the Board, which is a position she has held for over 5 years, previously serving as President of the Board for over 20 years. As a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, Mrs. Dysart is a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. She earned a B.A. in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from L.S.U. In addition to service on the School Board, Mrs. Dysart has been: Chairman of the Mothers March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society, a Board member of the Louisiana School Board Association and a member of the Nunez Community College Foundation Board. She also teaches catechism for Our Lady of Prompt Succor School.

Mrs. Dysart has been married to Danny Dysart for over 35 years. They have four children, Cori, Katie, Danny and Christopher, (Cori and Katie are graduates of Chalmette High School) and they also have 8 grandchildren, three of whom attend St. Bernard Parish Public Schools.
