Kristjan Thompson

Kristjan Thompson MD, FRCPC, DHSA, ICD.D is currently the Chief Medical Officer at St. Boniface Hospital, where they also serve as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Business Manager in the Emergency Department. They hold the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba and are a Physician on the Winnipeg Jets Medical Staff for the National Hockey League. Kristjan has demonstrated leadership as the Board Chair and President of Doctors Manitoba, as well as serving in various roles at STARS Air Ambulance and other medical organizations. Their educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba, along with additional certifications in Emergency Medicine, Health Care Administration/Management, and Corporate Governance.
