Darren Smith

Lead Analyst Epic Research at St. Charles Health System

Darren Smith started their work experience in 2005 as a Pharmacy Intern at Salem Health. Darren then moved on to Fred Meyer in 2006, where they worked as a Pharmacy Intern and later became the Pharmacy Manager/Staff Pharmacist. In 2012, Darren joined St. Charles Health System as a Clinical Pharmacist and eventually took on the role of Epic EHR Application Analyst Pharmacist (Beacon). Darren is currently working as the Lead Analyst Epic Research, starting from October 2020.

Darren Smith holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Oregon State University College of Pharmacy, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UC Santa Barbara from 1999 to 2000. Darren also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry with an Emphasis in Biochemistry from Arizona State University, which they earned from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, Darren has obtained several certifications, including a Registered Pharmacist certification from the State of Oregon in June 2008. Darren has also acquired various certifications related to healthcare systems such as Cosmos Administration, Research Clinical Proficiency with Honors, EpicCare Ambulatory, Beacon Oncology, Willow Inpatient from Epic, and a BestPractice Advisories - Basics Badge.
