Joe Nerssessian is an accomplished public relations manager and multimedia content creator at St Christopher's since May 2021, with extensive experience as a freelance journalist and writer since July 2018. Previous roles include journalism tutor at the Learning And Development Bureau from January 2021 to February 2022, English teacher at Global Bridge School from August 2018 to December 2020, and entertainment journalist at PA Media from June 2015 to June 2018, where Joe led music coverage and arts reporting. Early career highlights include serving as an assistant online editor at The Bournemouth Rock and an intern with the United States Olympic Committee during the 2012 Games. Joe holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Kent and degrees in Multimedia Journalism and Sport Journalism from Bournemouth University and the University of East London, respectively.

St Christopher’s Hospice exists to promote and provide skilled and compassionate palliative care of the highest quality. Our vision is of a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to appropriate care and support, when they need it, wherever they need it and whoever they are. We serve a diverse population of 1.5 million people in the London boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, reaching some of England’s most deprived areas. All our specialist palliative care and familiy care services are provided free of charge. St Christopher’s is an adult hospice caring for patients from the age of 18 upwards. St Christopher’s care services are delivered in a range of settings including patients’ own homes, our four inpatient wards and our Anniversary Centre. Our palliative care is delivered by coordinated teams of specialist doctors and nurses; physiotherapists and occupational therapists; social workers and welfare support workers and also includes adult bereavement services psychiatrist support; arts and complementary therapies; spiritual and religious care; and specialist support for bereaved children.
