Jane Olsen has accumulated extensive experience in women's advocacy and support services since the early 1980s. Currently serving as the Director of the Women's Center at St. Cloud State University since 1989, Jane Olsen leads initiatives focused on gender equity, women's safety, and empowerment while managing administration and budget responsibilities. Prior to this role, Jane Olsen directed the Illinois Network for Displaced Homemakers at the University of Illinois at Springfield, where advocacy and education for single parents and displaced homemakers were prioritized. Jane Olsen's early career as an Advocate/Program Coordinator at Sojourn Women's Center involved providing crucial support to battered women and their children during the inception of the battered women's movement. Jane Olsen holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
