Maria Wright is currently the Director of Concurrent Enrollment at St. Cloud State University. Prior to their current position, Maria was an Independent Business Consultant/Coach from January 2015 to January 2019, where they assisted small business clients with strategic planning and business development, resulting in annual revenue growth of $1MM+. Maria also created, implemented, and streamlined business policies and procedures that helped organizations achieve operational excellence, establish their culture, and promote consistency throughout the organization. Furthermore, Maria provided leadership and employee training, coaching, and development which resulted in more confident leaders, increased employee morale, and improved organizational performance.
Prior to their work as a consultant/coach, Maria worked at GE Capital from November 2011 to December 2014 as an Assistant Vice President - Franchise Finance. At GE Capital, Maria developed and executed strategies to drive growth, retention, and profitability – they also identified $25MM in leads. Additionally, Maria performed customer analysis, prepared proposals and credit packages, and generated and analyzed pricing scenarios. Lastly, Maria developed marketing campaigns using Salesforce to penetrate and develop a presence in an underserved market.
Maria Wright has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Spelman College. Maria has a Master's degree in Christian Ministries from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and an MBA in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Maria also has a certification from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate.
