Meghan Bollens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Meghan began their career as a Congressional and Media Relations Intern for the Peace Corps in 2003. Meghan then worked as a Marketing Intern at Hachette Filipacchi Media before joining the Atlantic Media Company as a Recruiting Manager. In 2008, they became an Associate Director of Corporate Relations at The American University. Meghan then transitioned into roles at the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business, where they served as an Associate Director of Alumni Relations and later as the Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement. During their time at Carnegie Mellon, they played a crucial role in planning and executing annual giving campaigns and was also involved in a capital campaign. Most recently, starting in 2016, Meghan joined St. Edmund's Academy, where they initially served as the Director of Institutional Advancement and was later promoted to Associate Head of School, Advancement and Operations. In this role, they were responsible for managing a $5 million capital campaign and overseeing marketing and branding efforts for the school. Overall, Meghan brings a wealth of experience in advancement, fundraising, and relationship management to their current position.
Meghan Bollens' education history began in 2000 when they attended Washington and Lee University. Meghan pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and completed their studies in 2004. In 2011, Meghan enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, where they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. Meghan completed their program at Carnegie Mellon in 2013.
In 2018, Meghan began their doctoral studies at Vanderbilt Peabody College, where they pursued a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Meghan is expected to complete their degree in 2023. Additionally, Meghan obtained certification as a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt Peabody College in August 2023.
