Amanda Meekins has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amanda then transitioned to St. Mark's Hospital as a Medical Staff Coordinator, where they implemented Cactus software to manage and maintain credentialing and quality files for over 650 medical staff members. Their responsibilities also included ensuring compliance with corporate and Joint Commission standards. Most recently, Amanda served as the Director of Medical Staff Services at St. John's Health. In this role, they managed medical staff providers and employees, coordinated peer reviews and legal action, and maintained hospital accreditation with various accrediting bodies. Amanda also oversaw the implementation and management of MDStaff software. Overall, Amanda's work experience showcases their proficiency in administrative tasks, strong organizational skills, and their ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Amanda Meekins, CPCS, CPMSM, holds a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health, obtained between 2017 and 2019. Amanda also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Sciences from the University of Wyoming, completed from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Amanda Meekins has certifications in CPMSM and CPCS from NAMSS - National Association Medical Staff Services, obtained in December 2013. Their education also includes a period of study at Weber State University from 1998 to 2000, though the degree and field of study are unspecified.

ABOUT: Located in Jackson, Wyoming, the hospital at St. John's Health was built in 1991 and has 108 beds: 48 Acute Care/Primary Care Unit beds and 60 long-term care beds. Nursing and technical specialties include: Medical/Surgical (PCU), Obstetrics, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Intensive Care, Long Term Care (the “Living Center”), Skilled Nursing Care, Operating Room, Recovery Room, Outpatient Surgery, Pharmacy, Emergency Room, Home Care & Hospice, Cancer Care & Infusion, Laboratory, Radiology, Respiratory Care, Rehabilitation, and Social Services. St. John’s Health also operates the following Physician Practices: Audiology & Hearing Aids; Cardiology; Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy; Family Health; General Surgery; Internal Medicine; Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; Urgent Care; and Urology. HISTORY: St. John’s Health was established in 1916 as part of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Although the hospital no longer has a direct affiliation with the church, it has retained the original name. In 1976, St. John’s became the Teton County Hospital District, and does business as St. John’s Health, with a publicly elected Board of Trustees. In the year 2019, St. John’s Hospital changed its name to St. John’s Health to better communicate our role in Jackson and the regional communities we serve.
