Daniel Dearing

Daniel Dearing has over 20 years of commercial and business advisory experience in the electronics and digital industry. Daniel started their career in 2001 as a Business Development Manager at Antenova Limited, where they sold revolutionary new antenna technology. In 2003 they became the Managing Director at Accelerate Consulting, providing technology marketing and business development services for early stage and small to medium companies in the wired and wireless communications sector and medical devices sector. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Technology Business Manager at Electronics Technology Network Ltd, where they were responsible for forging relationships and partnerships in industry, promoting UK electronics nationally and globally. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Qualifications Program Manager at ARM, and from 2014 to 2016 they were the Manager of R&D Programmes at Digital Catapult. In 2017 they became the Senior Advisor at CW (Cambridge Wireless Ltd), and in 2018 they were the Industry Business Lead at Eastern Academic Health Science Network (Eastern AHSN) and the Project Manager at UK5G. Daniel currently works as the Senior Innovation Specialist at St John's Innovation Centre Ltd, providing a range of business support services, including innovation strategy development, programme planning and management, and coaching and mentoring innovative SMEs to achieve their growth ambitions.

Daniel Dearing attended the University of Bath from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a BSc in Electronics. Daniel also attended City of Portsmouth College, though the duration of their attendance and any certifications or degrees earned are unknown.
