Tesfay Gebremicael

Tesfay Gebremicael is a hydrologist with extensive experience in water management and research. Currently serving at St. Johns River Water Management District since May 2023, Tesfay previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Florida from March 2021 to June 2023, focusing on water quantity and quality modeling. Prior to this, Tesfay held multiple positions at Tigray Agricultural Research Institute, including Senior Researcher, Researcher, and Research Assistant over a span of several years. Educationally, Tesfay obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Management from Technische Universiteit Delft and IHE Delft, as well as a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from IHE Delft. Tesfay also earned a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Hawassa University.
