Cristina del Valle Avila M.D., Msc

Cristina Del Valle Avila, MD, MSc, currently serves as a Pediatric Hospitalist at both the University of South Florida and St. Joseph's Children's Hospital of Tampa since August 2023. Previously, Cristina completed a residency at the University of South Florida from July 2020 to June 2023 and gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at Mayo Clinic in mid-2017. Cristina's research background includes roles as a Research Scientist at Universidad Central del Caribe and a Laboratory Technician at Universidad del Este, focusing on various molecular biology techniques. Cristina's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, all from the University of Puerto Rico.
