Katherine Vlasica

Katherine Vlasica has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Katherine currently holds the position of Fellowship Director for Emergency Medicine Pain Management at St. Joseph's Health, starting in June 2023. Katherine is also a Core Faculty member for the Emergency Medicine Residency program at St. Joseph's Health since July 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Katherine worked as the Medical Director of Emergency Medicine Pain Management at Saint Joseph's Health from June 2019. Katherine served as an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center from December 2011.

Their earlier experiences include being an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital from March 2017 to September 2020, where they gained valuable expertise. At Long Island College Hospital, Katherine served as an Attending Physician, Clinical Assistant Professor, and EMS Medical Director from August 2007 to December 2011.

Katherine started their career in emergency medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Resident and Intern from June 2003 to August 2007. Overall, Katherine Vlasica has demonstrated a strong commitment to emergency medicine and has gained valuable experience throughout their career.

Katherine Vlasica has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, which they obtained from Hope College from 1992 to 1996. Katherine later pursued a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing it from 1999 to 2003. Katherine then attended St Joseph's Health, where they obtained a Medical Acupuncturist degree in 2021. Additionally, they completed a Clinical Educator Fellowship in Graduate Health Care Education at St Joseph's Health in 2021. Katherine Vlasica also holds certifications in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association and Emergency Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. Katherine is also certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS Provider by the American Heart Association.
