Una Molloy

Trustee at St Joseph’s Hospice

Dr Una Molloy is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Community Palliative Care Team at St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin and has a very keen interest in the development of palliative care for people with chronic illness, in particular addressing the palliative care needs of older people.

She believes that we must find creative ways of providing quality care to our ageing population in partnership with primary care and the acute health care systems.

Una also teaches at Trinity College, University College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons Dublin. She is currently involved in a post-doc research project exploring how we can meet the palliative care needs of older people. Her other research interest involves the use of action research in organisations to bring about meaningful change. She currently supervises masters’ students who are completing a MSc in Loss and Bereavement at RCSI using action research.
