Suzanne Hinton

Suzanne Hinton began her work at St. Joseph’s Villa in January 2016, with more than twenty years of accounting, auditing, and consulting experience. Prior to joining the Villa, Ms. Hinton served as Controller for Medical College of Virginia Foundation, following 15 years of public accounting experience with Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG). She has also served as a financial examiner with the State Corporation Commission Bureau of Insurance and worked in accounting for an insurance agency. With DHG, she served the not-for-profit community across numerous public service areas, including: low income housing; rehabilitation and other medical and mental health services; services for children; educational organizations and foundations; religious and political organizations; and services to the aged. In addition, across her career, she has gained significant experience in project and team management, career coaching, analytics, and process improvements.

Ms. Hinton received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University. She is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and VSCPA.
