Bharath Vijayaragavan

Bharath Vijayaragavan, Ph.D, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC since March 2023. Prior to this role, Bharath held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Graduate Student at the Weizmann Institute of Science from July 2016 to February 2023, where research focused on inhibitory signals in CNS myelination under the supervision of Prof. Elior Peles. Bharath's research experience includes a Visiting Student role at the Weizmann Institute from October 2014 to May 2016, and a Junior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Immunology, exploring the role of a developmental regulator in inflammatory immune response from July 2012 to August 2014. Earlier experience includes a summer internship at Banaras Hindu University as an IAS-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellow in 2009. Bharath obtained a Ph.D in Molecular Cell Biology (Neurobiology) from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a dual degree in Bio-Medical Sciences from Bharathidasan University.
