Tara Milligan

Tara Milligan is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as Senior Director of Executive & Internal Communications at ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital since March 2007. In this role, Tara manages communications for the Executive Leadership Team, overseeing the creation of messages for events and board reports in collaboration with senior leadership. Prior to this, Tara held the position of Director of Corporate Communications at the same organization, where responsibilities included content creation for fundraising and research initiatives. Tara's earlier experience includes serving as Sections Editor and Reporter at Memphis Business Journal, where coordination and production of weekly sections were key duties, and as Coordinator for The Teen Appeal at the University of Memphis, where Tara supervised a high school newspaper initiative. With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Memphis and training from the Poynter Institute, Tara possesses a robust background in communications and journalism.
