Elinor Tatum

Elinor Tatum has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in publishing and nonprofit leadership. Tatum serves as a Trustee Emeritus at St. Lawrence University and has owned and operated NY AMSTERDAM NEWS since September 1994, holding multiple key positions including Publisher and Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Tatum is a member of the Board of Directors at New York City Center and the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, as well as serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Harriet and Esteban Vicente Foundation. In the education sector, Tatum has an impressive academic background with degrees from St. Lawrence University, Stockholm University, and New York University, along with an honorary doctorate from the Metropolitan College of New York. Tatum’s commitment to community engagement is further highlighted through involvement with various organizations, including the Creative Visions Foundation and participation as a level 1 ski instructor at Belleayre Mountain Ski Center.
