Karl Spiecker

Karl Spiecker is an accomplished finance and administration executive with extensive experience in higher education and public service. Currently serving as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at St. Lawrence University since January 2023, Karl also holds an ongoing position as a Higher Education Consultant with The Registry. Previous roles include Interim Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Vice President of Finance at the College of Western Idaho, and Vice President for Finance and Administration at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Additionally, Karl has held significant positions such as Director of Finance and Administration at the Colorado Department of Corrections and Chief Legislative Analyst for the Colorado Joint Budget Committee. An elected official, Karl served as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Longmont. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and two advanced degrees from the University of Michigan: a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environment.
