Tom Stillman

Chairman & Governor at St. Louis Blues

Tom Stillman, a lifelong hockey fan, has been Chairman and Governor of the St. Louis Blues since May 2012.

Stillman is also Chairman and CEO of Summit Distributing, a St. Louis-based beer distributor. He entered the beer business in 1994 with the acquisition of a local wholesaler.

Stillman is a former lawyer. From 1988 to 1993, he was with the U.S. Department of Commerce, in Washington, D.C., where he was Chief Counsel for Export Administration, responsible for legal aspects of national security-based controls on sensitive exports. From 1978 to 1988, he was with the New York law firm Dewey, Ballantine, Bushby, Palmer & Wood, working from the firm's New York and Washington offices.

Stillman was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1978. He attended Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, where he played hockey and soccer, graduating in 1974.

Stillman serves on the boards of Blues for Kids; Commerce Bank, St. Louis Region; the St. Louis Sports Commission; and the Logos School.

Tom and his wife, the former Mary T. Danforth, live in St. Louis and have three children: John, Isabelle, and Anna.
