Marissa Owen

Marissa Owen has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Community Engagement Librarian at St. Louis Public Library since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Library Assistant at St. Louis County Library from March 2021 to October 2022, and at Festus Public Library from August 2020 to March 2021. Marissa also gained experience in the educational field, serving as a Graduate Assistant at Missouri State University from January 2019 to March 2020, where they also held the role of Tutor for Learning Diagnostic Center from January 2018 to January 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Bookstore Associate at Missouri State University from April 2017 to January 2019. Marissa broadened their horizons by taking on the role of a Management Intern at Kohl's from May 2019 to August 2019. Marissa also had the opportunity to work at Disney Parks & Resorts, where they were part of the Disney College Program Summer Alumni Merchandise team from May 2018 to August 2018, and earlier, as a Cast Member- Outdoor Food Vendor from August 2016 to January 2017.

Marissa Owen's education history begins in 2015 when they enrolled at Missouri State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Research, which they completed in 2019. Following this, they attended Missouri State University again from 2018 to 2020, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management. In 2017, Marissa participated in the Disney College & International Program Internship offered by The Walt Disney Company. More recently, they pursued a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, Marissa obtained a certification in Adult Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavior Health, although the specific timeframe for its completion is unknown.
