Daryl McQuinn has extensive experience in the field of engineering and technology. Daryl has held various roles throughout their career, starting as an Engineer at Amaturo Radio in 1985. Daryl later served as a Chief Engineer at Keymarket Communications/Noble Broadcast Group from 1986 to 1992, and then at Noble Broadcast Group from 1993 to 1996. At Noble Broadcast Group, they oversaw technical operations for multiple stations in different cities.
In 1994, Daryl joined EZ Communications as a Chief Engineer before moving to Noble Broadcast Group again in 1995 as the Director of Engineering. Daryl supervised technical operations for 12 stations across different cities.
Daryl's career continued to progress, and they joined Clear Channel Radio - St Louis in 1996 as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they supervised broadcast operations and ensured compliance with FCC regulations for multiple FM stations and one AM station. Daryl also provided technical support and IT assistance.
From 2011 to 2012, Daryl served as the Director of Engineering at Clear Channel Media + Entertainment (Total Traffic), where they oversaw engineering operations.
In 2012, Daryl established their own business called Extra Good Broadcast & IT Services, where they installed network infrastructure and provided technical support for two radio stations.
Daryl's most recent role was as the Chief Engineer at WSIE-FM at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from January 2015 to May 2017.
Currently, Daryl is the Director of Technology at St. Louis Public Radio, a position they have held since June 2017.
Daryl McQuinn's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communications/Music from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Daryl also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Radio and TV Technology from Lewis and Clark Community College.
