Benjamin Bowman

Benjamin Bowman is a distinguished concertmaster currently serving at the Metropolitan Opera since August 2017, appointed by maestro Nézét-Seguin. In addition to the role at the Metropolitan Opera, Bowman is a violinist with the Orchestra of St. Luke's and the Saronic Chamber Music Festival. Notable previous positions include concertmaster at the American Ballet Theatre and The National Ballet of Canada, as well as associate concertmaster for the Canadian Opera Company. Bowman has also held guest concertmaster roles with various orchestras, including the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and the American Ballet Theatre. Bowman earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music between 1997 and 2002.
