Karen Horwitz is an experienced music professional with a diverse background in performance, education, and music therapy. Currently serving as an accompanist at Nicolet High School since 2009, Karen also holds the position of Staff Musician and Special Music Coordinator at St. Luke's Lutheran Church and has been an accompanist for Congregation Sinai since 2007. In addition to these roles, Karen operates a private studio as a piano and voice teacher and offers music and animal-assisted therapies through the practice Kavanah: Music for Healing. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, emphasizing Music Education and Music Therapy.
